Tour Schedule Here
We'd like to welcome to our blog, Author Connor Titus (which is the combined writing talents of authors Lori Titus and Crystal Connor). Because there are two wonderful authors who helped write this book, I asked if I could host them twice during this tour to give us a chance to pick both ladies' brains.
Today we are going to grill...chat with Crystal Connnor.
What gave you the idea for this particular story?
I’m not really sure what gave the idea to write Mt. Empyreal, it was almost a spur of the moment kind of thing that turned into something that we are so both very much in love with and proud of.
What is the toughest part about being a writer and how do you get past it?
The toughest part about writing for a living is the marketing and promoting and there is no way to get past it. This is something that has to be done consistently and at 110%. It’s a learning curve because there is no magic formula and what works for one author might not work for another.
What kind of research did you do for this type of story?
For my version of events that happened at Fates Keep the research I did was Jewish, Islamic Christian religion mythology, as well as mythos from Native American’s, Pagan along with the history from Lori’s Marradith Ryder series.
Two things: 1st the fact that there’s two of them, and 2ndly that you do not need to read both of them to know what’s going on! Both books (though we’d love it if you do read them both.)

Which genres do you write, which do you prefer, and why?
I write in several genres(science fiction, dark fantasy, supernatural) but the foundation for everything I write is built on horror. The reason I like the genre is because it’s the way I like to be entertained. I like things that are dark around the edges. Always have. What is the toughest part about being a writer and how do you get past it?

Washington State native Crystal Connor has been terrorizing readers since before Jr. high School and loves anything to do with monsters, bad guys, rogue scientific experiments, jewelry, sky-high high heel shoes & unreasonably priced hang bags. She is also considering changing her professional title to ‘dramatization specialist’ because it’s so much more theatrical than being just a mere drama queen. Along with inducing insomnia within her readership Crystal also reviews indie horror and sci-fi movies for HorrorAddicts.net
